SUMMARY:
After the Decree on the Prohibition of Acting has been proclaimed, the Actor and his Servant flee from the forces of repression. The acting company led by the Actor have breached the prohibition law and all the members - apart from the Actor and the Servant - have been captured and executed. The search party, in the person of the Judge, intend to capture them. The Girl who has her own story joins the fugitives in their roaming.

SUMMARY:
Carmen is a woman of 26, locked up in a mental home. The relationships
in her family with her mother and father are destroying her life Her father is a moral weakling who chases after young women, her mother opposes any loving relationships Carmen has and wrecks them while her lover dies in the street. In the asylum she becomes attached to Male Nurse, handicapped by the mother myth, and he starts to manipulate
her and direct her, transferring to her his own madness. The relationship
between Carmen and Male Nurse is brutal and painful, and ends in his impotent attempt to possess her. Carmen's final reckoning with her family brings misery and death.
BIOGRAPHY:
Damir Madarić was born in 1959. He graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art's department for theatre direction. He has directed theatre productions in various theatres, and has recently been working with the Virovitica Theatre. Among the plays has directed are works by Gavran, Goldoni, Shakespeare, Ionesco, Chekhov, Kamov... and the like. His play Death of an Actor was published in the Plimn (Tide] magazine, and performed by the Virovitica Theatre during the 1997/1998 season.
