SUMMARY:
The gala opening of the newly built hospital is under way. Of course, the first patient must be chosen. However the choice is made in quite a peculiar way: patients are racing to the hospital, with the help of the closest members of their families. The first patient will be the one who wins the race.

The play has been broadcast on Radio Zagreb and Radio Ljubljana. Translated into Slovenian.


WE ARE NOT BARBARIANS

SUMMARY:
A bureaucrat takes advantage of the war to chase lonely women whose husbands are at the front-line. He uses all the means available to keep the husbands at the front-line as long as possible, so that he can freely enjoy theirwives' company. In the event that one of the husbands should return, he has concocted a good alibi with the help of his adjutant. However, one husband does come home, the alibi has its flaws, and the situation complicates. The story, nevertheless, has a happy ending.

The play won a prize in a Croatian Television Contest and performance rights were purchased.


BIOGRAPHY:

Branislav Krivokapiæ was born in 1952. His abundant work includes two published novels, several stories published in various magazines, two produced plays, and 25 radio-plays broadcast on radio. He is a professor of literature who also works as an author and journalist.
