SUMMARY:
On her thirty-sixth birthday in May 1944, after her mother's funeral, She is in a suicidal mood, pregnant and ahandoned by her Lover, organised hy death in the guise of the Maid, she invites to dinner her Mother and her Grandmother - both when they were aged thirty-six. Mother comes with her Lover, Grandmother
with her Husband, while both bring with them the era in which they were thirty-six: Grandmother's year of war, 1944, and Mother the year 1972. Their get-together unfolds in ordinary conversation, eating, drinking and dancing
. She suhconsciously compares her fate with that of Mother and Grandmother,
slowly giving up her intention of violently hreaking the chain of life, and she is supported in her decision by the unexpected arrival of Her Lover.
Premiered at the Gavella Drama Thentre, Zagreh on October 31, 1994.
Won the Dujšin Award in 1994, and the prize for hest performance at the Marulić Festival in 1995.

SUMMARY:
Waiting for her husband to return from the Great War, Giga Barićeva has in fact, been living with him at her side - concocted, visihle and real only to her. However, now she has had enough of this sort of life and wants finally to select one of her seven suitors, to marry and to live a normal life. But it is no easy decision, and the result of her renewed procrastination is that her suitors -imaginary, living only in her mind - start to besiege her. And when it seems that the problem is insoluhle - the real and actual Marko Barić returns, changed, of course, and different from the man she has been imagining. A terrihle misunderstanding
and conflict occurs hetween them, and Giga finally kills him. And she continues to live alone with her imaginary Marko, the one who is a figment of her imagination.
Won the 1996 Marin Držić prize for hest drama, awarded by the Ministry of Culture. Premiered at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreh in 1997.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born on May 2, 1961 in Zagreb. She graduated in classical philology at the Faculty of Philosophy in 1983, and a year later in dramaturgy at the Academy of Dramatic Arts. She works as a dramatist at the Croatian National Theatre drama department in Zagreb. She writes plays and scripts for theatre, film, television and radio and also translates.
