SUMMARY:
In their wish to bring back audiences to the theatre, and upon realising how great a success the screen version, "My Fair Lady" has been, the theatre management produces B. Shaw's "Pygmalion". The story takes place behind the scenes, during the opening night of "Pygmalion". Through many comical situations we follow the conflicts of the protagonists
and discover the absurdities and hypocrisy of theatrical relations.
This play won the "Marin Držić" Award in 1993 (awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia).

SUMMARY:
The comedy takes place in Suhi Dol, a small provincial town. The main character - Casanova from Suhi Dol - is president of the town council, Vladimir Vlašić. The play speaks of how power works in a small town where everyone knows everything about everybody, but many people have reasons for keeping qmet, because they are either directly or indirectly
involved themselves in the dirty busmess going on. The police, who also know everything, are dependent on the powers-that-be, so they see only what they should see. Some inspectors visit the town, but the man with the dirtiest hands, the mayor, cunningly avoids the trap set for him and leaves town to take up an even better position. The rebellious
women of Suhi Dol lose them Casanova, whom they both love and hate, because even he could not satisfy all of them.

SUMMARY:
A divorce case. A couple who are no longer young (55 and 60) tell the court the reasons for their wanting to divorce. Through the fireworks of the mutual accusations, they tell the story of their marriage which has had - like all marriages - its good and its bad moments. Despite how much they get on one another's nerves from time to time, they still cannot
live mthout each other.

SUMMARY:
The Minister's Son takes place in the family of a government minister,
who find out after twenty years of idyllic family life that their father has
an illegitimate child in addition to the two born from his marriage. This
news creates a series of comic situations because the family is not prepared
to accept the fact that they have a new member - some little
bastard wlzo fell out of the sky. They decide to carry out an investigation
which only complicates matters even further. As the minister is no ordinary
citizen, the appearance of an illegitimate son gets a great deal of
public attention.
The premiere is planned for March 1999 at the Kerempuh Satirical
Theatre in Zagreb.
BIOGRAPHY:
Fadil Hadžić was born in 1922. He has written 53 theatre comedies which have been produced in more than 80 theatres, both at home and abroad. Twenty-three of his books have been published, including: That Strange Creature, The Actor (Behind the Scenes of an Occupation) (1994); The Red Brain, a satirical novel (1997); and, The Anatomy of Laughter (A Study of the Phenomenon of the Comic) (1998).
